Fatal Monterey County pedestrian crash death of Thao Van Le – Obituary
A tragic accident early Wednesday morning claimed the life of 55-year-old Thao Van Le of San Jose in Monterey County.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision occurred at approximately 2:35 a.m. at the intersection of Dolan Road and Avila Road. A gray Toyota minivan, traveling westbound on Dolan Road, struck Le, who was in the roadway for reasons that remain unclear.
The driver of the minivan was unharmed in the incident. Authorities have not disclosed whether impairment or other factors played a role in the crash.
The California Highway Patrol is actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
