A tragic multi-vehicle crash occurred on Saturday morning in Newington, claiming the lives of four individuals. The accident, involving three vehicles, happened around 9 a.m. on Willard Avenue at Greenlawn Avenue.
Those who died in the crash were identified as 17-year-old Gabriela Difo, a senior at Newington High School, 50-year-old Florinda Tineo, 48-year-old Jeannette Tineo, both from Newington, and 56-year-old Maritza Smith from New Britain.
Gabriela Difo was the daughter of Florinda Tineo and the niece of Jeannette Tineo. The school district has offered crisis support for those affected by the devastating event.
