Fatal South Side, Chicago car crash death of Michael A. Alexander – Obituary
Michael A. Alexander, a 69-year-old man, was killed in a car accident that occurred early Sunday morning in Chicago’s Morgan Park neighborhood. The crash happened around 12:17 a.m. near the intersection of West 111th and South Halsted streets, according to Chicago police.
Authorities reported that Alexander was driving a silver sedan when he lost control of the vehicle, struck a median, and went airborne. The car then collided with a tree before landing back on the roadway. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed his identity. Investigators from the Chicago Police Department’s Major Accident Unit are currently looking into the cause of the crash, which remains unknown at this time.
