Roberta Osgood, a 30-year-old woman from Nashville, tragically lost her life in a crash that occurred early Wednesday morning on Old Hickory Boulevard. The incident took place around 2 a.m. in the 1300 block of OHB.
According to the Metro Nashville Police Department, Osgood was driving her 2017 Toyota Highlander west when she veered off the road, struck a concrete mailbox, and collided with a tree. She was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Police have stated that there were no signs of alcohol or drugs contributing to the crash, and Osgood was wearing her seatbelt. Early indications suggest that speed and failure to maintain the lane may have played a role in the accident.
