Authorities have confirmed that 24-year-old V’ron Gibbs passed away at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center on Sunday due to injuries from a shooting the day before.
According to Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard, Gibbs sustained gunshot wounds on Saturday and succumbed to them the following day.
The incident occurred near the intersection of Grainger Road and Marion Street in Conway. Local police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
