Fatal Milwaukee shooting death of Othon Herrera-Conchi – Obituary
Othon Herrera-Conchi, 52, was shot and killed while sitting in his vehicle in Milwaukee’s Historic Mitchell Street neighborhood on Tuesday afternoon.
The incident occurred just before 4 p.m. near the intersection of South 7th and Mitchell streets. Police arrived at the scene and found Herrera-Conchi with fatal gunshot injuries inside his car. He was pronounced dead shortly afterward.
Friends of the victim described him as a lifelong Milwaukee resident who had most recently been employed in the construction industry. Ashley Gilbo, a close friend, expressed shock over the incident, saying she couldn’t imagine anyone wanting to harm him.
At this time, no suspects have been identified, and no arrests have been made. Authorities continue to investigate and are urging anyone with information to contact Milwaukee police or reach out anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
