Fatal Lauderdale County car crash death of Christopher K. Calvert – Obituary
A tragic accident on Wednesday afternoon claimed the life of Christopher K. Calvert, 55, of Florence, Alabama, after his vehicle collided with a tractor-trailer in Lauderdale County.
Authorities from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported that the crash occurred at approximately 3 p.m. on Alabama Highway 20. Calvert was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision with a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia.
The driver of the 18-wheeler sustained injuries in the crash and was taken to North Alabama Medical Center for medical attention.
ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division is actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
