Fatal Geiger Grade Road motorcycle crash death of Kyle Rodgers – Obituary

Authorities have confirmed that 25-year-old Kyle Rodgers of Reno lost his life in a high-speed motorcycle accident on Geiger Grade Road near Rim Rock Road.

Nevada Highway Patrol troopers were dispatched to the scene just before 6:30 p.m. on April 19. Initial findings indicate that Rodgers was heading southbound on the winding stretch of Geiger Grade when he failed to manage a curve due to excessive speed. As a result, his motorcycle tipped over onto its right side, throwing him from the vehicle.

Both Rodgers and the motorcycle slid southeast across the roadway, eventually crashing into a guardrail on the northbound side. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The investigation is being led by the Nevada Highway Patrol’s Region Two Traffic Homicide Unit.
