Fatal Spartanburg County motorcycle crash death of Jim Puckett – Obituary
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has identified 57-year-old Jim Puckett as the victim of a deadly crash that occurred Friday evening in Greer. Authorities reported that the incident took place near the intersection of J. Verne Smith Parkway (Highway 101) and New Woodruff Road (Highway 80). According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Puckett was riding a motorcycle eastbound on Highway 80 when he collided with a Chevrolet sedan that was attempting to turn left onto Highway 101 from the westbound lanes. Jim Puckett was pronounced dead at the scene. The investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
