Rob Holland, a 50-year-old native of Nashua, New Hampshire, has been confirmed as the victim in a deadly aircraft crash that took place in Virginia. Authorities reported that the incident happened while Holland was piloting his own custom-built aerobatic plane at Langley Air Force Base.
Well known in the aviation world for his skill in aerobatic flying, Holland had been preparing to appear in the upcoming Air Power Over Hampton Roads event scheduled for this weekend. Tragically, the crash occurred just days before the show.
Holland had a long-standing presence at numerous air shows, including frequent performances at Pease International Tradeport. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the crash.
