Fatal La Grange car crash death of Brett Lane – Obituary
Brett Lane has been identified as one of the two victims who lost their lives in a devastating multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of 47th Street and Willow Springs Road, near the border of La Grange and Western Springs.
The crash occurred around 1:50 p.m. on Friday and involved a total of seven vehicles, according to La Grange police. Aerial footage from Chopper 7 showed heavy damage to at least two of the vehicles at the scene.
Officials from the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that Brett Lane, a 51-year-old man, was among the deceased. A 49-year-old woman also died in the collision, though her identity has not yet been released.
In addition to the fatalities, three other individuals suffered injuries. Details about the injured victims, including their names, ages, and conditions, have not yet been provided.
Authorities have not disclosed what caused the crash. The La Grange Police Department is continuing to investigate the incident.
