Fatal Los Lunas Rail Runner crash death of Audrey Gonzales – Obituary

LOS LUNAS, NM — Audrey Gonzales, 52, lost her life in a tragic crash involving a commuter train on Tuesday, April 22, around 7 p.m. The collision occurred at the Elaine Drive crossing near N.M. 314, when her sport utility vehicle was struck by the Rail Runner train.

Gonzales, a resident of Los Lunas, was pronounced dead at the scene. The train, which was carrying only employees at the time, did not result in any injuries to those aboard. New Mexico State Police continue to investigate the circumstances leading to the crash.
