Fatal Fremont, Nebraska, plane crash death of Jeff Bittinger, Randy Amrein, and Daniel Williams – Obituary

FREMONT, Neb. — Jeff Bittinger, 50, Randy Amrein, 48, both from Fremont, Nebraska, and Daniel Williams, 43, from Moundridge, Kansas, tragically lost their lives on April 18, 2025, when the Cessna 180 they were in crashed into the Platte River south of Fremont. The plane went down around 8 p.m., and a witness alerted authorities after seeing the aircraft descend. Multiple agencies responded to the crash site. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board.
