A tragic accident in southeast Fresno has claimed the life of 42-year-old Victor Thomas Jr. The incident occurred on Monday morning at Chestnut and Olive Avenues, around 5:30 a.m., when Fresno Police responded to reports of a man being struck by a vehicle. Upon arriving, officers discovered Thomas lying on the road with severe injuries. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was unable to survive.

The driver involved initially left the scene but later returned and is now cooperating with law enforcement. The crash is still under investigation by the authorities.
