Fatal Newfane car crash death of Cody M. Diemkaye – Obituary

Cody M. Diemkaye, 33, from Amherst, New York, has been identified as the pedestrian who was killed in a vehicle accident in Newfane on Friday, April 25, 2025.

According to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred at 2707 Hess Road at around 10:07 a.m. A northbound 2011 Freightliner truck, driven by 43-year-old Kevin A. Bittner of Barker, New York, struck Diemkaye.

Authorities say the investigation into the fatal crash is still ongoing and being handled by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Bureau.
