Fatal Beaufort County hit-and-run death of Dontay Frost – Obituary

A 39-year-old man, identified as Dontay Frost, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident on Okatie Highway in Beaufort County on Sunday night. The accident occurred around 11:50 p.m. when a vehicle traveling west near Lemon Island struck Frost, who was on the road, and then fled the scene.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene, and the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office confirmed Frost’s death at the site. Frost, a resident of Ridgeland, was pronounced dead shortly after the collision. The incident remains under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol as they work to identify the driver responsible for the fatal crash.
