An Alabama couple, along with the pilot of their small plane, tragically lost their lives in a crash in Tennessee over the weekend. According to flight data reviewed by WVTM 13, the aircraft, a Mooney M20TN Acclaim, took off from Shelby County Airport before crashing on Saturday morning near Upper Cumberland Regional Airport in Sparta. The victims were identified by Dean Selby, the airport’s director, as Dylan Clay Davis, his wife, Kelsie Lynn Davis, and Jonathan Braun, the pilot.
The plane was reportedly attempting to land when the crash occurred. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) officials have removed the wreckage and are currently investigating the cause of the accident.
