Fatal Pico Rivera shooting death of German Gomez Medina – Obituary

Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the fatal shooting of German Gomez Medina, which occurred late on the night of April 21, 2023, in Pico Rivera, California.

Authorities responded around 11:56 p.m. to reports of an assault involving a deadly weapon at a residence in the 9400 block of Stephens Street. When deputies arrived at the scene, they discovered that German Gomez Medina had been fatally shot.

Surveillance video showed a vehicle moving westbound on Stephens Street toward Durfee Avenue before disappearing from view. Witnesses reported that the car had multiple occupants. Two male Hispanic adults wearing baseball caps featuring the letter “P” and possibly a Hispanic female were seen inside the vehicle.
