On Saturday, April 26, 2025, a tragic crash occurred in Pompey, New York, when 21-year-old Jacob P. Korkue of Jamesville lost his life in a two-vehicle collision.

Korkue was driving a 2009 GMC Envoy east on Broadfield Road when he failed to stop at a stop sign, striking a 2018 Jeep Wrangler driven by 71-year-old Edward N. Agrasto, also of Jamesville. Agrasto suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Upstate University Hospital.
