Fatal Palmyra shooting death of Jaquan Humphries – Obituary

Jaquan Humphries, a 28-year-old Boston native, was found dead in the early hours of Wednesday, April 23, in Palmyra, Maine. His death has been officially ruled a homicide after an autopsy confirmed the cause to be a gunshot wound.

The incident occurred at a residence on Madawaska Road, just after 1:30 a.m. The investigation is still ongoing, with no suspects publicly identified.

This case has raised concerns within the community as it reflects a broader pattern of increasing violence in the region. Law enforcement agencies are collaborating to address these rising tensions and ensure justice for Humphries.
