Authorities have identified the body of a man found floating in the water in Toms River on Friday, April 25.

The victim, 45-year-old Julian Lopez-Martinez of Lakewood, was discovered by police in the area behind Point O’ Woods Drive. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer confirmed the discovery.

A post-mortem examination conducted by the Ocean County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed no signs of trauma on Lopez-Martinez’s body.

While the cause of death is still under investigation, toxicology results are pending. At this stage, authorities do not believe the death is suspicious. Investigations continue as the community waits for further details.
