Kayden Torres, Nelson Torres, Noel Torres, and Johnaven Puszka die in fatal Waterbury crash into building

Fatal Waterbury car crash death of Kayden Torres, Nelson Torres, Noel Torres, and Johnaven Puszka – Obituary

Four young men from Waterbury—Kayden Torres, 20; Nelson Torres, 25; Noel Torres, 15; and Johnaven Puszka, 20—tragically lost their lives early Thursday morning when the SUV they were in slammed into a building, causing part of it to collapse.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 1 a.m. near the intersection of Maple Avenue and Cherry Street following reports of a vehicle crashing into a structure. Emergency crews found that three of the SUV’s occupants were already deceased upon arrival, while the fourth was transported to a local hospital where they later died.

Police say a BMW X5 had been heading north on Baldwin Street when it passed through the East Main Street intersection. The driver lost control, leading to the collision at 45 Cherry Street.

The incident remains under investigation, though initial reports suggest that speed may have played a role in the crash.
