Fatal Queensland motorcycle accident death of Marcus Haworth – Obituary

Marcus Haworth, a dedicated 50-year-old volunteer firefighter from Bucca, Queensland, tragically lost his life in a motorbike collision while participating in a road safety campaign.

On Saturday, April 27, Haworth was riding his Harley-Davidson when his bike was struck by a ute towing a trailer on Cedar Road, near Cedars Bridge in South Bingera, at approximately 9:50 a.m. He died at the scene, while the driver and passenger of the ute were uninjured.

 

Haworth had joined the Lap4Luvo initiative, which honors Steve Loveland, a fellow firefighter who died in a motorcycle accident in 2024. The campaign raises awareness about motorcycle safety.

Haworth’s sudden death during the event deeply shocked his family and the community. He is remembered as a kind, selfless man who dedicated his life to helping others, both through his volunteer work and his role as a loving father and husband.

 

He is survived by his wife and two sons, aged 17 and 19. Tributes have poured in, with many recalling Haworth as a respected volunteer and cherished member of his community.

His family expressed their devastation, remembering him as an exceptional man who was devoted to his loved ones and passionate about motorbike safety.
