Fatal Starr highway pedestrian death of Shannon Demeco Little – Obituary

Shannon Demeco Little, 47, of Anderson, South Carolina, died after being hit by a vehicle on Highway 81 South in Starr. The collision occurred around 9:22 p.m. on Sunday near True Temper Road. Emergency responders found Little in the roadway with severe injuries.

He was transported by ambulance to AnMed Hospital, then flown to Prisma Greenville, where he passed away at 5:37 a.m. the following morning, according to the Anderson County Coroner’s Office.

Officials say a 2007 Ford pickup truck heading north struck Little while he was in the roadway. The driver of the truck was not injured. The incident remains under investigation by both the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
