Authorities in Laurel County, Kentucky, are investigating the death of 66-year-old Stanley Crisp, who was found deceased following a house fire on Patton Road, roughly eight miles north of London, Kentucky, on Monday morning.

According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, multiple fire and law enforcement agencies responded to the scene. After the fire was brought under control, responders entered the heavily damaged home and located Crisp’s body in one of the bedrooms.

The Kentucky State Fire Marshal’s Office is now leading the investigation into the cause of the blaze. As of Monday evening, no further details on what sparked the fire had been released.
