A woman lost her life after suffering a medical emergency while driving in Crisp County, Georgia, which caused her to veer off the road and collide with a tree, according to officials.

The incident occurred around 1:20 p.m. on Tuesday along Cannon Road, just north of Mile Pond Road, the Crisp County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Georgia State Patrol troopers arrived at the scene to investigate and identified the victim as 67-year-old Susan Boucher from Vienna. Authorities believe Boucher was heading north when a sudden medical issue caused her to lose control of the vehicle, leading her to crash into a tree.

The Crisp County Sheriff’s Office later confirmed the fatal accident in a social media post.

Investigators say the case remains under review.
