Fatal Wilmington pedestrian accident death of Thomas Pusey – Obituary

Thomas Pusey, 43, was killed late Friday night after being hit by an SUV on Kirkwood Highway in Wilmington, Delaware. Authorities say the deadly crash occurred around 11:24 p.m. on April 25, 2025.

According to the Delaware State Police, a Jeep Grand Cherokee was moving westbound in the left lane near North Woodward Avenue when Pusey entered the roadway from the north side and was struck. He died at the scene as a result of his injuries.

The SUV’s driver, a 31-year-old man from Wilmington, was unharmed. The road was closed for roughly two hours as investigators conducted their work and cleared the area.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Collision Reconstruction Unit is continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
