Fatal Henrico County pedestrian accident death of Thomas Wayne Bodden – Obituary

60-year-old Thomas Wayne Bodden was struck and killed by two vehicles while attempting to cross West Broad Street in Henrico County on Monday night.

The incident occurred around 8:35 p.m., when Bodden was first hit by an SUV, causing him to fall into another lane, where he was then struck by a second vehicle. Both drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the police.

Preliminary investigations suggest that dark clothing and possible alcohol involvement may have contributed to the accident.

The westbound lanes of Broad Street were briefly closed but have since reopened. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Henrico Police Crash Team.
