On Sunday, April 27, 2025, William Philippi, a 63-year-old motorcyclist from Blackwood, tragically lost his life in a collision on County Route 540 in Pittsgrove, Salem County.

The accident occurred around 1:15 p.m. when Philippi, riding a Harley-Davidson, rear-ended another motorcycle, causing him to veer off the eastbound highway.
