The tragic death of 67-year-old Angela M. Stewart occurred during a house fire on Friday, April 25, in Milton, Wisconsin. Stewart was found inside her home on Ansley Avenue after a passerby reported the blaze around 4 a.m.

The fire was responded to by Lakeside Fire-Rescue, along with officials from multiple agencies, including the Rock County Sheriff’s Office, Milton Police Department, and the Wisconsin State Fire Marshall’s Office.

An investigation is ongoing, with a forensic examination of Stewart’s body completed on April 26. Additional tests have been requested. Authorities indicated that Stewart was the sole occupant of the home, which did not have functioning smoke detectors or fire sprinklers.
