Devin Standifer, missing Fairbanks man, found dead

Family members confirmed the death of 21-year-old Devin Standifer, whose body was discovered after months of being missing. Standifer was last seen on December 7, 2024, in Fairbanks.

On Sunday, his family posted on social media that his body had been found, and the discovery was confirmed by his grandmother, Sandy Koyukuk, who stated that a bicyclist found Standifer’s remains.

The Fairbanks Police Department confirmed the recovery of a body near Eagan Avenue on Saturday evening but has not officially identified the deceased. The state medical examiner will determine the cause of death and provide formal identification.

The planned search for Standifer scheduled for May 3 has been called off, as the family mourns their loss.
