Fatal Manchester car crash death of Jack P. Lisowsky – Obituary
Jack P. Lisowsky, a 22-year-old resident of Manchester, lost his life Monday afternoon in a devastating two-vehicle collision that left both vehicles ablaze, police reported.
The crash occurred at around 2:10 p.m. near the intersection of Mount Misery Road and Pasadena Road. When Manchester Township officers arrived at the scene, they discovered a red 2023 Kenworth dump truck severely damaged and engulfed in flames on the northeast shoulder of Pasadena Road. Nearby, a silver 2023 Toyota Highlander was found overturned and also burned on the southeast shoulder.
Authorities identified the dump truck driver as 51-year-old Stacy W. Clay of Toms River, who sustained minor injuries. Lisowsky, who was driving the Toyota Highlander, died at the scene from injuries sustained in the crash.
Preliminary findings indicate that the Toyota, heading southeast on Pasadena Road, veered across the centerline and collided head-on with the dump truck. The impact caused the Toyota to flip over and land on its roof. The dump truck veered off the road after the crash, struck several trees, and eventually came to a stop in a wooded area.
The force of the collision sparked fires in both the wooded area and a nearby grass field, prompting an extensive response from fire crews. The roadway remained closed for several hours as authorities worked to extinguish the flames and investigate the incident.
Police believe failure to stay within the proper lane was a key factor in the crash, though the investigation is still underway.
