Fatal Manchester Township crash death of Jack P. Lisowsky – Obituary

A fiery two-vehicle collision on Monday afternoon in Manchester Township has taken the life of 22-year-old Jack P. Lisowsky, police reported.

Authorities say the crash occurred around 2:10 p.m. near Mount Misery Road and Pasadena Road, where a dump truck and an SUV collided and were both engulfed in flames. Responding officers found a red 2023 Kenworth dump truck with major front-end damage burning on the grass shoulder, and a silver 2023 Toyota Highlander overturned nearby.

The dump truck’s driver, identified as 51-year-old Stacy W. Clay of Toms River, suffered lower body pain. Tragically, Lisowsky, the driver of the Toyota Highlander, was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash.

Investigators believe the Toyota crossed the centerline and struck the dump truck head-on. The Toyota flipped and landed on its roof, while the dump truck continued off-road and crashed into several trees before coming to rest in the woods.

The impact ignited a blaze that spread into nearby wooded and grassy areas, prompting an extensive fire department response. Multiple emergency units from surrounding regions assisted at the scene.

Authorities have identified failure to maintain lane as a primary factor in the crash, which remains under active investigation by the Manchester Township Police Traffic Safety Unit.
