Fatal Fresno shooting death of Jampier Quintero – Obituary

Forty-four-year-old Jampier Quintero was fatally shot on April 18, 2025, during a violent incident at Los Viejones Barbershop in Fresno. Authorities arrived at the barbershop on North Van Ness Avenue after receiving a ShotSpotter alert, where they found multiple people had been shot both inside and outside the business.

 

Quintero was rushed to Community Regional Medical Center but did not survive his injuries. Two other individuals, males aged 20 and 17, also sustained gunshot wounds but were later released from the hospital after treatment.

 

Following an investigation, police identified 18-year-old Kobe Chantharangsy as the suspect in the shooting. Detectives linked him to another shooting the day before, on April 18, in which a 19-year-old man was shot three times near Recreation Avenue and Gettysburg Avenue. Chantharangsy was apprehended on April 26 by undercover officers and booked into Fresno County Jail, facing charges including murder.

 

Additionally, Adrian Echeverria has been charged as an accessory in the case. Police continue to seek information from the public to support the ongoing investigation.
