Fatal Sweetwater County hit-and-run death of Jeremy Simien – Obituary

Jeremy Simien, 41, of Texas, tragically passed away on April 25 after being struck by a semi-trailer along Interstate 80 near Rock Springs.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., Simien had parked his vehicle along the shoulder and was standing outside when the passing truck hit him. The driver failed to stop, and the Wyoming Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.

The patrol cited possible contributing factors, including driver inattention, cellphone use, and fatigue. Authorities are seeking the public’s help in identifying the driver or their associated company.
