A disturbing incident in Prince George’s County, Maryland, has led to the tragic death of Michael McClanahan, who is accused of killing his girlfriend, 44-year-old Sherron Turner, before stabbing another man in Washington, D.C., the following day.

The authorities confirmed that McClanahan’s actions have been linked to the brutal death of Turner, whose body was discovered during a welfare check on April 24. She was found wrapped in plastic and partially covered in concrete inside the apartment she shared with McClanahan.

The investigation into Turner’s death revealed that she likely succumbed to blunt force trauma, based on findings from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The body was hidden in an apartment on the 2300 block of Ewing Avenue in Maryland.

On April 25, McClanahan was apprehended in Washington, D.C., following an alleged stabbing incident at a Walmart located on the 5900 block of Georgia Avenue in Northwest D.C. Witnesses reported seeing McClanahan act suspiciously at the store, and surveillance footage showed him attempting to conceal objects on his person.

The stabbing incident occurred just as McClanahan was being restrained by police, and although initial reports indicated a female victim, authorities later confirmed the victim was male.

This case marks the second time in 2025 that Prince George’s County police have responded to a crime involving concrete.

Earlier this year, another individual was found to have concealed the body of his girlfriend, whom he allegedly shot, behind a wall he constructed at his home in Capitol Heights, Maryland.

Currently, McClanahan remains in D.C. custody, facing assault charges, as well as charges related to first and second-degree murder, and attempting to dispose of a body in connection to Turner’s death. Authorities are in the process of seeking his extradition to Maryland.
