A deadly home invasion in southwest Houston has claimed the life of 50-year-old Michel Badia Cremadichi. According to Houston police, the attack happened Monday night at his residence on Ludington Drive near Sandpiper Drive.
Authorities believe the suspects had been tracking Cremadichi before following him home, where they broke in around 10 p.m. Two masked intruders forced their way through the back door and opened fire, striking Cremadichi multiple times. He managed to return fire before collapsing. His wife, Veronica Badia, who was upstairs at the time, encountered one of the suspects before fleeing to a bedroom to hide and call 911.
Surveillance footage captured the suspects fleeing the scene, one holding a large handgun. The couple’s German Shepherd, Nala, chased after them and remains missing. Bullet holes were found throughout the home, including four in the room where Cremadichi was shot and one that passed through a front window.
Veronica Badia expressed her grief and confusion, saying she does not know why they were targeted. She is now relying on the support of loved ones while seeking justice for her husband.
