Fatal Rockville pedestrian collision death of Paul Jerome Marangos – Obituary

Paul Jerome Marangos, 77, of Rockville, tragically passed away on the night of April 24 after being struck by a car while crossing Shady Grove Road.

According to Montgomery County police, Marangos was crossing from the median at the intersection of Shady Grove and Blackwell roads when he was hit by a 2020 white Genesis G70 sedan.

Emergency responders arrived around 9 p.m. and found Marangos unconscious. He was transported to a local hospital but later succumbed to his injuries. The driver remained at the scene, and the investigation into the collision is ongoing. Authorities are urging any witnesses to come forward.
