Reuben Higgins dies in fatal Solihull stabbing

Fatal Solihull stabbing death of Reuben Higgins – Obituary

A 17-year-old boy tragically lost his life after being chased and fatally stabbed in a vape shop in Solihull. The incident occurred on October 29, 2024, at the Vape Minimarket in Marston Green.

It is alleged that 18-year-old Abdurrahman Summers, along with two 15-year-old boys, is responsible for the murder of Reuben Higgins.

According to the court, Reuben was with his friends when he was approached by a group of males. After a brief confrontation, the group pursued him, and Reuben sought refuge inside the vape shop.

CCTV footage showed the attackers forcing their way in, where Reuben was stabbed multiple times. Despite his pleas for help, Reuben succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

The prosecution stated that Reuben suffered fatal wounds, including a stab to the heart, and severe injuries to his thigh and arm. The trial has revealed that one of the 15-year-old defendants was particularly aggressive, while Summers attempted to flee to Spain following the attack.

The case continues to unfold as the three accused deny intending to kill Reuben, although one of the minors has admitted manslaughter. Further updates will follow as the trial progresses.
