Fatal Scottish Borders motorcycle crash death of Stuart Brandon Donald – Obituary
Stuart Brandon Donald, a 26-year-old man from Tranent, has been identified as the motorcyclist who lost his life in a collision on Saturday in the Scottish Borders. The tragic accident occurred around 3:45 p.m. on the route between Lauder and Galashiels when Donald’s motorcycle collided with a Nissan X-Trail.
Emergency responders pronounced Donald dead at the scene. The driver of the SUV was unharmed. Authorities closed the road for several hours to conduct a thorough investigation, eventually reopening it around 9:40 p.m.
Sergeant Michael Shillington from the Road Policing Unit expressed condolences to Donald’s loved ones and assured that they are being kept informed as the investigation progresses. He also appealed to the public for assistance, asking anyone who saw the incident or has dashcam footage from the area to contact Police Scotland using reference 2156 of April 26.
