On Tuesday evening, Tyrekus Davis, 26, was involved in a shooting that occurred at a residence in the 2300 block of Ashford Drive in Albany, Georgia.
The shooting reportedly resulted from a disagreement between Davis and his cousin, Jim Lawrence Jr., 21, both of whom were working together on construction tasks at the home. According to Albany Police, the dispute escalated, leading to Lawrence shooting Davis.
The authorities responded to the scene around 8 p.m., where they secured the area with crime tape and spoke with witnesses at the location.
Davis was promptly transported to Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital, where he is said to be in stable condition despite the severity of his injuries. Meanwhile, Lawrence fled the scene driving a maroon Ford Edge, registered under the license plate XRF415.
