Fatal Lincoln County car crash death of Carpenter – Obituary

A tragic accident claimed the life of Carpenter, a sanitation worker, after he was hit by a vehicle in Lincoln County, North Carolina.

 

According to the North Carolina State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on NC Highway 27 near NC 150. A 2014 Mack garbage truck was stopped in the roadway when the crash took place.

 

Reports indicate that Carpenter was outside the truck when a 2011 Toyota Camry, driven by Borders, collided with him. Authorities say the driver failed to slow down and struck Carpenter from behind near the truck.

 

Emergency responders transported Carpenter to the hospital, but he later died from his injuries.

 

Investigators have stated that impairment did not play a role in the crash. No additional injuries were reported.

 

As the investigation continues, officials remind the public of the dangers sanitation workers face and urge all drivers to exercise caution and stay alert on the roads.
