Christopher Scott Smith dies in fatal Jefferson County car crash

Fatal Jefferson County car crash death of Christopher Scott Smith – Obituary

Christopher Scott Smith, a 55-year-old resident of Trussville, passed away early Saturday after a single-vehicle accident in eastern Jefferson County, Alabama.

The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m. Friday on Floyd Bradford Road near the intersection with Bishop Lane. According to Chief Deputy Coroner Bill Yates, Smith’s vehicle veered off the roadway and collided with a tree.

He was transported to UAB Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after midnight, at 12:28 a.m. Saturday.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
