Edson Sainnatus dies in fatal Fort Pierce shooting

Fatal Fort Pierce shooting death of Edson Sainnatus – Obituary

Edson Sainnatus, 27, was found deceased in Fort Pierce after a violent incident on April 30, 2025. Authorities reported that he was discovered lying in front of a home on South 23rd Street after being shot.

The St. Lucie County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of gunfire around 12:20 p.m. near Edwards Road and South 23rd Street.

Deputies arrived to find a car in a ditch nearby, still running with a bullet hole in it, and a person fleeing the area. Four individuals have been taken into custody, and investigators are attempting to confirm if anyone else was in the car.

Sheriff Richard Del Toro confirmed that K-9 teams and aviation units are being used to search for potential persons of interest.

Several weapons were recovered at the scene, and authorities are continuing to investigate the motive behind the shooting.

The sheriff also urged local residents to take precautions, such as securing their doors and garages, in case a suspect is still on the loose.
