Fatal Maybole, Ayrshire car crash death of Ewan MacDonald – Obituary

Ewan MacDonald, a 24-year-old from Maybole in South Ayrshire, lost his life in a single-car accident on the B742, south of Darlymple, in the early hours of Monday, April 21. Emergency services were called to the scene at approximately 12:50 a.m. but tragically, Ewan was pronounced dead at the location.

 

The incident involved a black BMW 1 Series. Following the crash, police launched an investigation and are appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage who was in the area around the time of the collision to come forward.

 

Ewan’s family expressed their heartbreak in a public statement, saying he will be “forever missed” and extended their gratitude for the outpouring of support from friends, relatives, and the local community.

 

Sergeant Scott Gourlay urged anyone with information to reach out and assist with the ongoing inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.

 

Police Scotland asks anyone who can help to call 101, quoting incident number 0138 of Monday, April 21, 2025.
