Fatal south Columbus shooting death of Kewhyon Hartwell – Obituary
A fatal shooting in south Columbus early Tuesday morning has claimed the life of 19-year-old Kewhyon Hartwell. Police responded to reports of the shooting near Reinhard and South Champion Avenue around 2:45 a.m.
When officers arrived, they found Hartwell unresponsive. He was quickly transported to a local hospital, but tragically, Hartwell succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 3:08 a.m.
Authorities have identified a 15-year-old juvenile as the suspect in the shooting, and the individual has been placed in the Franklin County Juvenile Intake Center. Preliminary investigations suggest that robbery was the motive behind the shooting.
