Fatal Dayton shooting death of Lizaiah LaMeir Burdette – Obituary

A tragic shooting in Dayton claimed the life of 14-year-old Lizaiah LaMeir Burdette on Tuesday morning. The incident occurred around 1:40 a.m. when police were dispatched to Linden and Davis Avenues after receiving reports of a shooting.

Officers found Burdette in the area and immediately began administering first aid before transporting him to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, Burdette succumbed to his gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the hospital later that afternoon.

The shooting took place on the 1600 block of Fauver Avenue, according to the Montgomery County Coroner and Dayton Police. Authorities are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
