Fatal Saginaw shooting death of Michael Wayne Carroll – Obituary

A fatal shooting in Saginaw on the evening of April 30, 2025, has left one man dead and another injured. The Saginaw Police Department identified the deceased as 41-year-old Michael Wayne Carroll.

Officers responded to the scene at 6:11 p.m. on South Michigan Avenue and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Carroll was transported to the hospital but was later pronounced dead.

 

A second victim, a 66-year-old man, was also taken to the hospital and is now reported to be in stable condition with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The Saginaw Police Department, in collaboration with the Michigan State Police’s Major Crimes Unit, is continuing the investigation into the shooting, and no arrests have been made so far. Authorities are encouraging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers anonymously.
