Samuel Stovall dies in fatal Taunton river incident

Fatal Taunton river incident death of Samuel Stovall – Obituary

Samuel Stovall, a 51-year-old man from Taunton, was identified by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office as the individual found deceased in the Mill River last week.

His body was recovered on April 25 after being discovered by pedestrians behind 43 Chandler Avenue around 3:40 p.m.

Authorities stated that Stovall was known to local police and had been experiencing homelessness. After an investigation, officials concluded that there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death.

Taunton Police detectives and the Massachusetts State Police, working under the D.A.’s Office, responded promptly to the scene following the emergency call.
