Fatal West Sacramento shooting death of Adrian Carter – Obituary

Adrian Carter, a 16-year-old from Sacramento, was killed in a shooting that occurred Wednesday afternoon at Summerfield Park in West Sacramento, authorities have confirmed.

The West Sacramento Police Department reported receiving a call around 2 p.m. regarding gunfire in the area. When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered Carter suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to a hospital but did not survive.

Investigators quickly identified a suspect and obtained a search warrant, which was carried out Thursday morning at the suspect’s residence in Sacramento County. The individual was taken into custody, questioned by police, and later booked into the Yolo County Jail.

As of now, law enforcement has not publicly named the suspect or provided information about what may have triggered the shooting.
